Motor Products

Road Angel - The Insurance Company of the West Indies Limited started the Road Angel policy and program in 1970 as a means of increasing the recognition of lady drivers and focusing public attention on the fact that women drivers have an outstanding record of road safety. The Road Angel Program entitles female car owners to a reduction in their motor premiums (applicable only to private motor insurance).

• Up to 20% discount off premiums for females who own their own car
• Loyalty benefits (available after 5 years)

• Increases in medical benefits by 100%
• Personal Effects payment up by 100%
• Manslaughter Limits increased by 50%
• Personal Accident benefits increased by 50%
• 5% additional discount on 10th anniversary of your policy
• Protected No Claim Discounts - If insured with ICWI for (7) years and the maximum No Claim Discount (NCD) has been earned, policyholders will not be penalised for the first two (2) accidents that occur.
• Alternative Transportation - In the event of an accident, ICWI will assist all policyholders who have comprehensive cover with the cost of obtaining alternative transportation.
• Personal effects Cover - ICWI will pay to a maximum limit for specified items which are lost or damaged due to an insured peril.

Klassic Kombinations - For individuals who are selective about who drive their cars. ICWI offers an opportunity to reduce the premiums through:

• Super Saver - Provides cover for three named drivers
• Family Five - Provides cover for five named drivers. This product is perfect for a family although you may access this package by just being friends. Unnamed drivers are still covered but the excess in the event of a claim is increased.
• Cover All - Cover is open. Anyone can drive. To protect your accident free record we recommend that you carefully select your drivers.

Household Product:

A-Plus Home Cover - A-Plus Cover is the one household policy you'll ever need.  It provides protection for everything in  and around the home, under one cover.   With A-Pus Home Cover, you no longer need to search around to find the best bits and pieces of individual policies to put together.

A-Plus Home Cover is "full house" protection.

Because A-Plus is designed with you in mind, it offers generous limits, flexible cover and a lot of extra benefits.

UNIQUE STANDARDS AND "PLUS" FEATURES

This is no ordinary insurance policy.  A-Pus Home Cover provides cover for your buildings and contents against damage arising from the full range of normal hazards such as fire, theft and Acts of God.   But it offers a whole lot more.

• It provides protection for your mortgage payments, if your house becomes uninhabitable as a result of an insured peril.

• It covers personal effects of guests staying with you.

• It pays alternative accomodation expenses for insured and pets or loss of rent while your house is uninhabitable because of a disaster or damage.

• Money or financial loss resulting from fraudulent use of your (or your spouse's) credit card is covered.

• A-Pus will cover the contents of your home for 60 consecutive days while it remains unoccupied.

• It covers contents damaged whilst in transit to new residence.

• Your domestic pets (dogs and cats) and veterinary fees are covered.

• If the keys to your residence are lost or stolen, A-Plus Home Cover will pay up to 75% of the cost for replacing locks.

• It allows temporary increases of sums insured on contents at Christmas or to cover wedding gifts recieved by members of your family.

• A-Plus has a special freezer cover which pays for damage to the contents of your freezer, resulting from mechanical defect or failure in the public electricity supply.

• Household items can be covered during storage.

• Cost of legal services can be recovered and legal assistance can be accessed under A-Plus.

Mortgage Payment Protection Plan (MOPP) - Sometimes the only thing remaining... is your Mortgage Payment.  If your house is uninhabitable, the last thing you want to think about is making your mortgage payment.

ICWI now introduces MOPP... a Mortgage Payment Protection Plan which supplements our basic Homeowner policies, while giving you the ultimate protection for your investment.

MOPP will Pay...

• your full monthly mortgage payments if your primary residence becomes uninhabitable for more than 48 hours as a result of an insured peril.
• your mortgage payments while your home is being repaired and you are unable to live in it for up to 12 months.
• the balance of your mortgage up to limit of J$1million, if your home is permanently uninhabitable.
